Dr. Robin Ganzert, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of American Humane, America’s foremost humane organization. She has transformed the 145-year-old nonprofit into the world’s largest certifier of animal welfare, overseeing the care of over 1 billion animals annually. Under her leadership, American Humane has earned top ratings for transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
Dr. Ganzert is a renowned author, executive producer, and advocate for animals, receiving prestigious awards for her conservation efforts, including the Gorilla Prize from Loro Parque. She has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives such as No Animals Were Harmed® in film and entertainment, American Humane Certified® in agriculture, and humane certifications for zoos, aquariums, airlines, and pet providers.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Ganzert holds a B.S. in Business & Accounting, an MBA, and a Ph.D. She has played a crucial role in philanthropy, serving as the vice chair of the governing board of the National ALS Association.
