Rosendo Álvarez

Rosendo Guillermo ALVAREZ DALAMA, born in Spain on the 4th of October 1977, lives in Tenerife, has been working for the state security forces and bodies for 14 years. He has three children, aged 16, 13 and 10, he loves to travel, getting to know the culture of the place, its people, gastronomy, peculiarities, … From a very young age he has practiced various sports, such as basketball, athletics, triathlon, in 2011 he began to do mountain races, ending up becoming so fond of this sport that he has completed ultras distances (over 100 km), in places like the Alps (Chamonix, Three summits of Lavaredo), Madeira, Azores, Reunion Island, and local races such as Tenerife Blue Trail, Transvulcania Isla de La Palma, La Gomera Paradise….

For Chendo, representing Loro Parque Fundación in these competitions and these landscapes is a real honour, carrying the name of Loro Parque Fundación and raising awareness of the importance of the care and protection of species and their habitats. Currently, he is planning new competitive projects and challenges developed in the environment, either in the mountains or the ocean.
